Saturday afternoon at Clifford Park showcased exactly how the stallions of Clear Mountain Fairview perform with progeny of Tycoon Ruler and Zaha dominating in races three and six respectively.

I’LL RULE (G3 Tycoon Ruler-I’ll Wait) proved it is all in the name as he jumped from barrier eight and sat at the back of the field until he straightened where he then let loose and flew home for a one and one and a half length victory from the race favourite.

With Sheree Drake in the saddle, the perfect ingredients were combined for a winning performance on and off the track as the Tycoon Ruler youngster paid a generous $11 for the win.

Congratulations to connections, including Dalby-based trainer Matt Kropp who also retains a share in the gelding along with his partner Kate and Mr. and Mrs Andrew Hall of Brisbane.

I’LL RULE was bred by Matt and Kate after they sent the dam, I’ll Wait, to Tycoon Ruler in his freshman year at stud.

Consequently, this is the mare’s first foal and she is off to a running start with this handy three-year-old.

Good luck to all connections when I’ll Rule rules his next start.

The win for the Kingmambo sire Zaha was collected by STOP LYING (G4 Zaha-Royal Covet) who blitzed the field in the Class 4 over 1200 meters as he led from jump to winning post.

Bookies had it correct as STOP LYING jumped as the $2.40 race favourite and he kicked away from the field as they approached on the straight.

There is no lying in the form as the lightly raced gelding has recorded five wins, a second and a third from as little as eight starts.

His only unplaced start came from when he lined up in town last start over 1000 meters and got caught at the back of the field, making it impossible for a clear run.

Congratulations to Toowoomba trainer Tony Sears and owners Bob and Maree Frappell on the fabulous win.

A little birdie has told that a few celebratory drinks were consumed in the winner’s bar after the race as the big day out at the races came to ahead.

The prizemoney pool for STOP LYING is now succumbed to over $63,000 in his short racing career and as he continues to stride on, connections are now discussing future plans.

Good luck to all connections when the mirror-image of Zaha lines up for his next start!
